2019-04-06 Sun Lakes North Suburbs Tour

This week’s ride begins at 7:30 am (wheels down) as we are now into April.  It is a bit longer than usual at 45.7 miles.  Lunch will be at either Fired Pie or Coconut’s Fish House at the corner of Ocotillo and Alma School Roads near the end of the ride.  As is customary, we will follow curvy tree-lined residential streets and recreational trails to the extent possible.  Pace will be determined by the slowest riders.  This is a no-drop ride.

2019-03-23 Islands via Lakes

This week’s ride takes us to the popular Islands of Gilbert, where the swaying palms and motionless pontoon boats give an air of peace and tranquility to those who care to visit.  Wheels down at 8:00 am.  Pace will be determined by the slowest rider.  Distance is about 29 easy miles on mostly residential streets and canal pathways.    We’ll stop about halfway through the ride at a nice park with restroom facilities.

2019-03-16 – Trail Loop Ride

We have a substitute ride leader this week, as the “regular” ride leader will be volunteering at the PMBC Mining Country Challenge.

Matt Blair, a frequent and seasoned Sun Lakes Saturday rider, is leading this week’s adventure.  He plans to follow a well-travelled path between Sun Lakes and Gilbert with extensive sections of the Paseo and Eastern Canal trails.  Please thank Matt for stepping up and leading this week’s ride.  Wheels down at 8:00 am with a stop for breakfast on the Cottonwood patio at the end of the ride.  Here’s the route (click on it to see the route in RWGPS):
